Dating code ethics

It is to apply to the editorial staff of The Sydney Morning Herald and, where relevant, its casual employees, freelancers and contributors.

In interpreting and applying the code, the interests that shall always be paramount are those of the public.

Visiting staff, and others acting in a voluntary capacity while participating in the life of the University community, are also expected to act in a manner consistent with the ethical and conduct obligations detailed in these Codes.

Contractors, their employees and representatives, and visitors engaging in any University-related activity are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Codes.

You may also be a Section 4 employee in one instance and not in another.

When in doubt, you should consult with your supervisor or contact the Ethics Board for advice.
